Antibacterial dressings

Antibacterial wound dressings include a variety of primary wound dressings designed to release antibacterial agents into the wound. These primary dressings must be in direct contact with the wound surface and the wound exudate to effectively deliver the antibacterial agent to the wound bed. They are used to reduce the risk of infection, promote healing, and provide a protective barrier against external contaminants. Examples of antibacterial agents used in these dressings include silver, copper, PHMB, hypochlorite, bezalkonium, methylene blue, and manuka honey. These dressings are particularly beneficial for managing wounds that are at high risk of infection or those that are already infected.

Works well on the oozing venous stasis/diabetic leg. Absorbs excess exudate in the wound and keeps it clean and adequately moist. It is easy to remove the dressing, it does not stick. Ordered more. Thank you!
