Absorptive dressings -

Moderate to heavy

This describes absorptive wound dressings with moderate to high absorption, such as PU foams, alginate dressings, silicone foam dressings, hyperabsorbent dressings (made of polyacrylates), CMC, and abdominal pad-type dressings. These dressings gently absorb exudate, maintain a moist healing environment, and protect the wound from external contaminants. They are suitable for use as primary dressings for wounds with moderate to high exudate.
